Translations
The French translation in 1.1b4 has been updated courtesy of Guillôme. For the benefit of other translators, he's also supplied a zip file containing the new strings that have been added to the latest release. Thanks, Guillôme!
Also, it's probably worth mentioning that the way Thingamablog stores language data has changed a bit. The FAQ has been updated to reflect this.

Using Thingamablog
ThingamaBlogger Stephan Hoppe has begun an excellent tutorial on getting started with TAMB. From Using Thingamablog...
"In this tutorial you will learn how to use Thingamablog to create your own web site. It's intended for those who are new to Thingamablog, and have at least a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
By the end of this tutorial, you should have a reasonably elaborate site designed using your own original CSS template with your content "auto-managed" by Thingamablog."
New users should find this well-written guide particularly helpful. Be sure to check it out!

Non-western characters
Thanks to Taro at the Lazy Lounge Log for pointing out an issue with non-western characters not displaying correctly in certain dialogs. The default "Plastic" Look and Feel uses a hard-coded tahoma font which can't display non-western characters. The work-around is to change the look and feel to anything other than Plastic. The look and feel can be changed from the Options Dialog. (Configure/Options...)
Update: This issue is resolved in v1.0b2

Sea Monkeys!
I found a Thingamablog blog in the wild. It's a sea monkey journal! And quite an interesting read, too, i might add. I've always wondered why they never look like they do in the old comic book advertisments. I suppose it's just one of those "artist misconceptions" :)Anyway, the sea monkey blog is pretty darned neato. Check it out.
